Planting: Spring #1

First we planted the lavender in our formal rose garden in the early spring of 2023 to mature.

Cultivate: Spring #2

Then we selected the spot to trench for the more mature plants to move up from the brook where we found extra dry soil.

Design: Summer 2024

And then, for the design phase, we pulled from the lines in the hillside sculpture to plant in “sunbeam” rows to allow the lavender scent and color (we hope) to spill down to the house.

This inspiration came from a trip to Canada in 2023 & New Mexico in early 2024, pictures below.
